Stay

This video was created during the COVID-19 quaratine. When the world was shutdown, I , along with other artists had to take the time to assess ourselves as dancers in this new reality where the dance world was shutdown. What does dance mean to me at this point in the world where we felt very isolated from one another. The sense of community we once felt in the same space could no longer exist in the current reality for the safety of everyone. I took the time to contemplate the love/hate relationship that I personally had with dance. The love for the craft, but the hate that it felt as if dance did not love me back. This led me to explore my place within the dance world and where I held value in the sharing of my art with the community.

But when someone asks me what I want to do with my life my answer will always be; “I must dance.”
